What is Perinatal Mental Health?
Perinatal Mental Health refers to mental health challenges, changes, and issues during all phases of pregnancy, including planning, trying-to-conceive, fertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy changes, prenatal anxiety and depression, birth anxiety, and all things postpartum. It is the blanket term for recognizing that during the perinatal period, birthing parents and their partners go through significant changes and challenges. We prioritize perinatal mental health and are pleased to offer specialization in the field. After all, your mental health surrounding pregnancy is just as important as your physical health!
How we support your Perinatal Mental Health:
All of our therapists work collaboratively with you to design a therapeutic plan that meets your needs and alleviates your distress. We believe in wellness through connection and we strive to create a positive, reparative, and affirming therapeutic relationship with each of our clients. At Peach Door Counselling, a holistic, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed perspective is the foundation of work.
